Sunday School
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
It is necessary to take utmost care in training children; during the early stages of their life, guiding them to the Truth of the Word of God and enabling them to develop Christ-like character within themself. Any sort of mistakes in upbringing of a child will result in moulding unpleasant characters.
Sunday school has a pivotal role to play, in showing the right direction and creating a lasting impact in children, developing in them a strong conviction about their faith & their purpose, i.e. being with Lord Jesus in Eternity. Prov. 22:6; Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it. It is important to teach children the Love of God at an early stage of their life because they learn things far more readily than adults. Furthermore, what is learned by a child is seldom forgotten (Pro 22:6) Children are able to trust in the Lord when they are young (Ps 71:5) and can be mightily used by God (Ps 8:2). Therefore, God expects us to prepare our children to know their Creator when they are young (Ecc12:1).
We at EMMANUEL TAMIL CHRUCH have realized the significance of Sunday School Ministry and the need to perfect the spiritual growth of our generation. With this purpose in mind we decided to reach out to the children through this Ministry and God enabled us to begin our Sunday School. To facilitate this, we have designed curriculum for our different age groups. Sunday school is held in our church on every Sunday between 4 PM. to 5 PM. Children attend the praise and worship between 3:30 to 4:00 PM. along with regular church members. Well equipped & talented teachers ensure that every Sunday School is a memorable time spent.
Children get an opportunity to join in unison & participate in the soul-inspiring ‘Song & Worship’ sessions & subsequently get enriched with the Word of God through carefully prepared Biblical Lessons at our Sunday school. Children learn about the love of God through Bible stories, songs, scripture memorization and art representations. They also learn about ethical values such as obeying their parents, learning to pray and care for each other, and above all develop the fear of Lord from a very tender age. There are fun action songs, skits, puppet shows, videos and other tools used to convey Jesus’ love.
